Most of our students are here for one or two years (to complete their masters), but we also have bachelor exchange students and PhD candidates. Our mission is aligned to the local church we are part of, and is best described like this:
We worship through fellowship by getting to know each other, forming friendships, living life together and by encouraging each other. We also worship through prayer and meditation: we take a break from our hectic lives and catch up with ourselves to focus on God and what he wants to say to us. And of course, we worship on Sundays as part of the service at ICL.
We grow in our understanding of the Bible and in discovering the person of Jesus through Bible studies, Alpha courses and Sunday services. We also grow through having workshops or listening to guest speakers on particular topics which are important to us (career, relationships, handling money). We grow, too, by being mentored. If you're interested, we're happy to pair you up with someone from ICL who can have a coffee with you and give you a different perspective on your particular journey.
We serve the city we live in by taking part in different projects to help those in need. We also serve by being an active part of our local church; you're welcome to join the different teams that make church happen. We love to serve our fellow students, too, by volunteering to wash their dishes or by giving them free coffee during exam weeks.
